Graphic Design

OVERVIEW: Marketing Materials, Web Design, Logo Design, & User Manuals

Along with designing the InessaBurnellArt website, the InessaBurnellArt logo, mockups, and all my marketing material myself, I also have worked on graphic design for Kingman Center for the Arts, a Community Art Gallery in Kingman, AZ and have worn many hats in my time there, including being on the Marketing Team, Event Team, and working as Gallery Staffing Coordinator.

The following are marketing materials that I have created for my own business. My logo was designed in Adobe Illustrator. My Meet the Artist ad was created in Adobe Photoshop. My Re-Opening Soon ad was created in Canva.

When marketing InessaBurnellArt in conjunction with other companies (i.e. Liquid Bistro, Etsy, etc.), my goal was to marry my brand with the hosting company’s brand for a cohesive and eye-catching style.

Kingman Center for the Arts Lead Graphic Artist

All projects beyond this point are marketing materials I created for Kingman Center for the Arts’ gallery exhibitions and events as their Assistant and later on Lead Graphic Artist.

The image of the building in this section was created from a photograph of the Art Gallery building and colors were adjusted for a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was later used for our First Friday advertisements, which you will see in a later section.

2024 Exhibition Marketing Material

Lead Graphic Designer

The exhibition marketing materials were designed for multiple formats (flyer, window banner, and Facebook cover photo/website banner) and were prepared in accordance with their 2023 and 2024 exhibition and event schedules. Two designs were created per show and presented to the board for review and final choice.

Designs are depicted from top to bottom: flyer, gallery window banner, facebook/website banner. These were created using Canva and their stock of creative elements.

Gallery Logo Refresh

Lead Graphic Artist

Updated color and outline of Kingman Center for the Arts’ logo. Updated from a low quality JPG (original logo file could not be provided) to a crisp PNG for use on all Gallery and Theater graphics, including posters, flyers, t-shirts, rack cards, and other marketing material. Done in Photoshop.

Gallery Rack Cards

Lead Graphic Designer

Rack cards are used to provide gallery visitors and patrons with information on upcoming gallery exhibitions and events. These cards are passed out to the local Visitor’s Center and other businesses to advertise for Kingman Center for the Arts.

A rough was provided by the Retail Chair with wording and general placement. My role was to format the rack card and balance readability with visual appeal in accordance with our newly refreshed branding. Done in Canva.

2023 Event Advertisements

Lead Graphic Designer

The following are marketing materials were created for Kingman Center for the Arts events including posters, social media posts, and postcards to be mailed.

The Fundraiser and 66 Fest advertisements were created in Canva. The First Friday advertisements were created in Photoshop.

2023 Exhibition Marketing Materials

Assistant Graphic Designer

The following are marketing materials I assisted in creating and formatting along with the Gallery Director, who was the lead Graphic Artist at the time.

My main role was to be a second eye and reformat poster designs for flyer and Facebook/website banners using Photoshop.

Special Project

Lead Graphic Designer

For the show below, we did not have a Gallery Director, so I was given the design reigns. This was also the point at which I was promoted from Assistant Graphic Designer to Lead Graphic Designer. This was also done in Photoshop.

Website Refresh

Assistant Graphic Designer

Refreshed Kingman Center for the Arts’ website to a clean, modern look, including SEO assessment, web image graphic design, and content writing. Done on Wordpress.

As of 2024, this website is no longer available.

Gallery Submission Guidelines

Lead Graphic Designer

Along with refreshing the website, I also pinpointed areas of improvement within gallery operations. One of these areas was improper photographing when submitting to the gallery Exhibitions which made it difficult for the Curating Team to determine whether the artwork would be acceptable for the gallery.

The other of these areas was in regards to proper hanging etiquette when artists bring their artwork to intake (when artists bring their accepted art to the gallery to hang at the physical location). New artists were not coming properly prepared or with the incorrect hanging hardware. To minimize these occurrences, I created examples of proper and improper hardware to show new and current artists.
